Description

Once you have enrolled online, you then attend the two day workshop where your trainers will bring your project to life for you, and teach you all the practical side of the course.

The training consists of unit standards:

NZQA 27364 Introduction to the Security Industry – Demonstrate knowledge of the security industry in the pre-employment context NZQA 27360 Demonstrate knowledge of managing conflict situations in a security context NZQA 27361 Manage conflict situations in a security context These three unit standards also sit within the National Certificate in Security Level 2 Version 8.  Regardless of where you work, all guards holding a COA with the following endorsements must complete the programme: Crowd Controller, Personal Guard, Property Guard

WHO IS EXEMPT?

If you have completed the National Certificate in Security level 2 version 8, or are currently working towards this and have completed the three unit standards, you will meet the requirements.  Those who have completed levels 2 and 3 previously are exempt from 27364 but no-one is exempt from the two conflict management unit standards.

NEW COA APPLICANTS

From October 1st 2013 guards who apply for a COA must complete the regulatory training before they can be issued with a full individual licence or a COA.  However a temporary COA can be issued while the training is being completed.  Temporary COAs are valid for 3 months only.  To apply for your COA licence please visit the PSPLA website.

The course was presented in a very easy to understand way,

allowing a high understanding of what we must know.

Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us things to improve our own customer service skills.

Your information was thorough and I was comfortable to ask questions.

Very welcoming environment and very straight forward,

information was relevant, and the tutor was very informative.

Been a great experience and I left with confidence.

Pre-course project valuable as there is a lot to take in at once – allows time to think about it beforehand.

Thank you for easy-going very informative day to learn techniques which can be put into action.

Thank you for an amazing few days, I would recommend this course to others, thank you for your help.

I have had a lot of verbal feedback from students who said they loved working with Nathan,

and it was all a very busy but rewarding time.

Many thanks for the positive time that Nathan and your organisation was able to provide.

A huge thank you from JPC. Spoke to the students and they really enjoyed the course and your presentation.

What a wonderful and very informative day I had in Tauranga yesterday!

I feel so much more confident in now making the next step and knowing it is an educated one is a definite bonus!
