Our inclusive education programme is for anyone looking to understand self-management strategies to organise personal life, maintain well-being, and continue learning.  

 

You will develop your skills in interacting positively with people from your own and other cultures, working with people in groups and in the community.  

You will reflect on your progress towards achieving personal and career goals and learn about interpreting and communicating information using basic literacy and numeracy skills in different areas.

Open entry for domestic students.

Students must not have completed a Level 2 Certificate or Programme on the NZQA Framework. There are no further academic requirements that need to be met to enter this programme.

Duration and study methods

This program specifically supports ākonga in New Zealand. It provides a framework for developing “lifelong learning”.  

This programme consists of 3 components, made up of a Specific Preparation for Employment & Citizenship, and 2 interest modules students can choose. 

- Tuessday 21st January 2025

 

- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

- 9am - 3pm

- 26 teaching weeks

- Taught face-to-face at the AllSorts Centre - 515 Main Street, Palmerston North​

Careers and Pathways


This qualification allows the Aotearoa New Zealand community and educational institutions to recognise the graduate’s potential to enhance their participation in the community, as a contributing citizen.

It can lead to further training or study -

– Level 2 programmes are available in Palmerston North.

NZCSL can lead to Career opportunities - 

This programme is tailored to individual needs and learner choices.

We work with and refer to employment agencies that assist people into work like Work bridge, Volunteer Central, MSD, and others.


To complete this programme, students must successfully complete Work Experience hours and should engage in other activities to enhance the programme learning. Whilst the NZCSL programme above is FREE, there are a number of important support services and opportunities students have found difficult to connect with.
