eLearning Modules

Our eLearning Modules – aka Individual units offer your students the flexibility to study at their own pace, with a wide range of courses available.

How do eLearning Modules work?
  • Simply book the student in via the website or email schools@its.ac.nz with your list of names. Students receive an email with their student login to their library in our Moodle Platform. Your student logs in and they can access their eBook full of study text, links and activities to learn and a user-friendly assessment to complete.
  • For assessments that are indicated as
    practical, please only order if your student
    can be assessed in a work placement

What’s included? 

  • Support available at any time from our tutors via email and phone
  • Marking of assessments and Free re-sit for every student
  • eCertificates
  • Authorisation to Report to NZQA sent to the schools

What is not included in the price?

  • Printed certificates – $10 +GST each

All prices indicated are exclusive of GST
unless stated otherwise.

Assessments will clearly indicate whether they
are to be completed in an open or closed book
environment. If they are closed book, the school
must provide an environment where the student
is supervised and completes the assessment
without reference to notes or assistance.

Schools will be sent an authorisation to Report
as units are achieved. Schools are required
to report results to NZQA for the student’s
Record of Learning.

IU12355 - Let's sort stress

Describe strategies for managing stress NZQA US 12355- Level 2 – Credits 3 - People credited with this unit standard are able to describe strategies for managing stress.

IU14420 - Mixology Basics

Demonstrate knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages NZQA 14420 Level 3 – Credits 3 This is a theory-based unit standard. As such, it is designed to assess the knowledge of people studying in this area. This unit standard covers the theory of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with the exception of beer and wine. People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

IU168 - Food Safety

Demonstrate knowledge of food contamination hazards, and control methods used in a food business Level 3 – Credits 4 - This unit standard is for all people working, or preparing to work, in a food establishment. People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of: hazards that cause food-borne illness and food spoilage; and methods used to control hazards that cause food-borne illness and food spoilage in a food establishment.

IU17284 - Coffee Heritage

For any student who enjoys coffee or dreams of being a Barista. This covers the history and production of coffee NZQA US 17284 – Level 3 – Credits 3 This entry-level unit standard is for people who are interested in working in the area of producing coffees. People credited with this unit standard are able demonstrate knowledge of: coffee origins, beans, harvesting, fair trade requirements, roasting, blending, decaffeination, and storage and handling.

IU20666 - Food Safety

Demonstrate basic knowledge of contamination hazards and control methods used in a food business Level 2 – Credits 2 - This pre-entry theory-based unit standard is for people training to work in a food business and includes a basic understanding of practices that result in safe food. People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of basic food contamination hazards and prevention of cross contamination of food in a food business.
